- Rhythm & Blues (a fugue for four parts) for Marcia Butler & The Skin Above My Knee
- Write, Now. for Dani Shapiro & .Still Writing
- Hot & Steamy for Carolyn Murdock & The Hot One
- Sour Grapes for Saïd Sayrafiezadeh & When Skateboards Will Be Free
Saïd has the grand distinction to be the only author who responded to his first taste of his cocktail with: “That’s terrible!” To be fair, we created a martini with what were supposed to be pickled grapes, to represent the “sour grapes” supermarket scene in his memoir. They didn’t get quite pickled enough, and he was right! It was terrible! But that may have been the right approach…sour grapes being the goal.
